Unlike the UK, Germany has a high-cultural press. Much of it is in the cultural sections, called feuilletons, of seven dailies and one weekly, Die Zeit (a newspaper, not magazine).
There is also the Swiss Neue Zürcher Zeitung; Austria doesn’t have a major newspaper.
signandsight.com, the English-language service of perlentaucher.de, contains daily English translations from these feuilletons and is the best portal for cultural matters that concern the space we are supposed to be living in: Europe.
It contains this overview of the German press.
