Time to flag this useful, if politically rather straightforward, Middle East blog.
After-comment, September 30: Too straightforward. And no coverage at all of Israel or the Palestinians.

Its first post, on January 1 2005, was headed: What Happens to a Dream Deferred?
and goes on
“This blog is inspired by a Langston Hughes poem from 1951:
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore –
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over -
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
Today, in the Middle East, what will happen to the dream deferred? Has it dried up in the hot sun? Is it festering, stinking, or hardening? Will it continue to sag under repression? Or will it explode? And if it does explode, will it be a blast of destruction or a burst of creation?
… And what can we do to help determine the outcome?”
